This month, on November 20th, roll-out your lower back, upper back, shoulders, and head!
Come to know and embody your body joint-by-joint, muscle-by-muscle, breath-by-breath, and build a practice in a balanced way. Explore specific muscles, connective tissues, and joint mobility. Discover areas of the body that have been underused, undetected, or that are simply lacking awareness.
Use Yoga Tune-Up Therapy Balls to roll out the tension in common "high-charge" regions like the upper back and neck, rotator cuff, lower back, hips, buttocks, iliotibial band and the ankles and feet. This technique utilizes compression, friction, penetration, and motion to induce circulation, relaxation, and length into muscles and fascia all over the body.
Appropriate for all levels of yoga practitioners.
Therapy balls are provided for use in class.

Meditations on Loving-Kindness

Loving-Kindness-Meditation is a tool to increase our capacity for love and compassion, for ourselves as well as for others.
It teaches us to see beyond the illusion of being separate and leads us to a place where we see the interconnectedness of all things.
This workshop starts by preparing body and mind through gentle stretches, pranayama (breathing exercises) and chanting. Together we will practice sending love and kindness to ourselves in a seated meditation practice. Gradually, we will extend the circle by sending love and kindness to other beings - to those we love, to those we hardly know and to those who appear as foes.
Chairs and props will be available for those bodies that need to sit with support or to meditate in a reclined position.
Lay down and relax. Experience the power of the circle and the rhythm of the drum to connect with helping spirits to gain insight, release energy blocks, and promote healing.
Shamanic Journeying can restore balance and bring us into alignment with our true nature through the connection with our internal sources of power and the shamanic practice of "soul retrieval," or reconnection with the parts of ourselves from which we've become detached. In this Journey Group, we invoke the power of the elements to reconnect.
If you are new to Shamanic Journeying, don't hesitate to join! For the first portion of the workshop, Paul will give you the the knowledge of how to enter a conscious trance state and journey to non-ordinary reality to meet spirit guides.

Experience yoga that can help reduce chronic pain and fatigue with a mindful approach to yoga. Standing, sitting in a chair, or laying down, you'll move slowly with gentle therapeutic movements, and relax in supported restorative positions.
This class welcomes all students who live with chronic pain, tension, and fatigue or those who'd simply like to experience a slow mindful yoga experience. Those with acute pain, from a recent injury, should wait until they are on the mend.

Celebrate Your Practice: A Night of Yoga, Music and Community

Take time to reflect, celebrate, and set intention.
New Year’s Eve is a time of transition, a time to reflect on the past and to set intentions for the year ahead. While many folks are looking for a party to mark the end of the year, we’d like to offer you something different- a chance to honor and mark this sacred threshold with the Breathing Time community.
Mimi will lead an accessible all-levels hatha class from 4-6 p.m. This class will include meditation, ritual, and celebration that will invite you to take stock of what truly matters to you and to think about what you wish to create and experience in the year ahead.
Stay after class from 6:00 - 7:30 p.m. for refreshments and music by Victoria Richter and Moe Methot of Gained in Translation. They will be performing a program of famous jazz and pop songs that were written and performed in many languages by such well-known musicians as Frank Sinatra, Dionne Warwick, Jobim, Los Panchos, Brel, Aznavour, Trenet, Piaf and others. Songs will be performed in English, French, Portuguese, Spanish and Russian!
