Flow with Meditation

This class is taught by:

Tami Killam

I am a mother of four children who has a passion for yoga, martial arts, healthy eating and mindful living.  On a healing journey to heal chronic illness, I discovered the power of yoga. Yoga opened up new possibilities in my life for healing, living, discovering my true self, grounding me in my own truth and helping me find true happiness in my life's journey. Yoga taught me how to be still, control my breath, and reconnect my mind with my body. My personal yoga practice continues to save my life because it creates space for me to heal and manage chronic pain daily. With yoga I can be the person I want to be and live the life I desire.  Yoga has been a transformational experience for me, and I look forward to giving others the opportunity to discover what yoga can be for them in their lives.  I completed my 200 hour Yoga Alliance approved teacher training with Jessie Dwiggins of Wild Wisdom Yoga. I feel so thankful that I am able to share and bring yoga to others, so their unique yogic paths will open up and transform their lives.  I look forward to our paths crossing so we can share the benefits of yoga together!
Namaste, Tami

Asa Angel

Yoga has been a part of Asa's life for nearly 15 years, first as a method of calming down a very anxious mind and then evolving into a deep spiritual practice. She is continuously inspired by the entire system of yoga and its' ability to find the truth in each one of us.

Asa completed her 200-hour training in the jungles of New York City at Loom Yoga Center. She teaches vinyasa-flow inspired classes with a strong emphasis on meditation and alignment. She also holds an Advanced Degree in the Reiki System of Healing as well as meditation training in the Tibetan Buddhist tradition which help to inform and deepen her practice.

She is dedicated to helping others find their sense of self and facilitate a path toward growth and healing.

Mimi Budnick

Drawing from over 15 years of work as a community organizing and an adult educator, Mimi is able to connect with her students where they are at and to create an environment that feels open and welcoming. She been practicing yoga for over a decade, and received her Vinyasa teacher certification in 2010 from Tom Gillette at Eyes of the World. Since then Mimi has taught in a variety of settings including studios, medical clinics, homeless shelters, drug rehab facilities, and schools.

Prompted by an urge to more explicitly help people use yoga as a tool for healing, from both physical and emotional injuries, Mimi recently received her certification in Therapeutic Yoga from Cheri Clampett and Arturo Peal and has studied Restorative Yoga with Jillian Pransky. Additionally she has participated in workshops about yoga’s benefits for dealing with depression/anxiety and PTSD with Bo Forbes, Bessel van der Kolk, and Dana Moore.

Whether leading more challenging classes for experienced yogis, or teaching classes to complete beginners and populations with limited mobility and significant physical/emotional challenges, Mimi likes to remind her students that yoga is about more than the physical postures- that the asana are a vehicle to help bring about a more unified state of consciousness and that the real work of yoga takes place off the mat. Mimi’s aim is to guide people through an experience on their yoga mat that creates space in her students’ lives to connect in deeper and more meaningful ways with themselves, their community, and the world around them.
Flow: Synchronize movement to the rhythm of the breath, entering a state of flow in a dance-like practice of moving from one āsana to the next.

Yoga Classes with Meditation: This class takes a mindful approach to āsana (postures) and includes meditation and / or pranayama (breath practices). Yoga is at it’s root, a systematic approach to creating mental clarity and focus, beginning with the mindful practice of yoga āsana to prepare the body to sit in meditation, and to train the mind to focus. Meditation is the heart of yoga.
