Having always been fascinated by movement and creating art with the body, Nicole completed ten years of dance education while in grade school. In college, she discovered yoga. While dance was beautiful, the practice consisted of forcing the body into an already pre-existing shape. She loved the freedom that yoga gave her: being able to create the shapes with the body. Yoga helped her discover a new found creative gateway that lead to a deeper understanding of herself. Wanting to deepen her practice and to be able to share this connection of mind and body with others, she completed her 200 hour Viniyoga certification at Breathing Time Yoga. Nicole's classes are a shared space surrounded by the belief that each student is having a unique experience; and to develop compassion towards the self to meet ourselves exactly where we are, as we are.

Community Viniyoga by Donation
at Breathing Time Yoga make yoga affordable and accessible to all. We suggest a donation of $5-10 when you attend a community yoga class, but no one will be turned away for lack of funds and of course larger donations are always welcome.
Your donation helps support our financial aid students, enabling them to study yoga with Breathing Time Yoga’s seasoned and certified yoga instructors. The Viniyoga
method of yoga is based on the deep relationship between breath and movement, experiencing yoga from the inside out and providing a sound approach to practicing yoga postures (asana). The deep slow rhythmic breath that you will master naturally creates a calm and focused mind and reduces stress on a physiologic level. The Viniyoga teacher incorporates safe and effective sequencing, and adaptation of poses to suit individual needs. Viniyoga classes may at times include seated breath awareness (pranayama), meditation and other yogic techniques.
Strength, Stretch & Flow
Strength, Stretch & Flow: Starting where you are, build strength, increase flexibility and dive into the subtle dance of flowing from one posture to the next to the rhythm of your breath in a meditation on movement.
Our approach to flow, also known as vinyasa, is inclusive for students of all levels of ability. The teachers will let you know how you can adapt the practice to suit you. There is no need to "power through!"
Everyone has to start yoga somewhere. Beginners yoga is designed to take the stress out of yoga by laying the foundation for a strong and confident yoga practice. Welcome to yoga! Beginners yoga is rich with instruction and demonstration, is deliberately paced and will help you learn the basics. This class welcomes all students who are relatively new to yoga practice or simply wish to focus on the basics.
Hatha Yoga is the big umbrella of yoga that covers the multiplicity of yoga styles that are practiced today. Hatha classes incorporate postures (asana) and breathing techniques (pranayama) and have a goal of bringing union to the opposite qualities of sun (Ha) and moon (tha).

Flow yoga, in which movement is synchronized to the breath, is a dance of two partners: the slow deep rhythm of the breath and the movement of the body. The breath sets the pace of the movement as you to flow from one pose to the next in time with an inhale or an exhale in a meditative exploration. This style is sometimes called vinyasa yoga.
This all levels class welcomes all students who enjoy a moderate challenge and are looking for something a bit deeper. However the teacher will suggest adaptations so that the class can meet you were you are.
