Community Yoga by donation is a low-cost class, making yoga accessible to everyone! Come join us. The suggested donation is $5 to $15 or what you can afford. No one turned away. Half of the proceeds from the class go to our Financial Aid Fund and support our low-income students and Seva volunteers in the Breathing Time Yoga Community.

Community Yoga classes are of at a variety levels depending on the teacher's preference and the students who come. All students are welcome in these classes.

This is a community practice-led hour, rather than an instructor-directed class. Sequenced poses in the Forrest Yoga style will be offered, but let your practice take shape of what feels best in your body that day!

This is a great way to start to build an independent, personal practice, while still taking nourishment from the collective spirit of a group.
Join us for challenging yet slow paced class, offering advanced asana and longer holds...
Hatha yoga is in essence generic yoga. Think of Hatha as the big umbrella of yoga that covers the multiplicity of yoga styles that are practiced today. Hatha classes incorporate postures (asana) and breathing techniques (pranayama) and have a goal of bringing union to the opposite qualities of sun (Ha) and moon (tha).

Everyone has to start yoga somewhere. Beginners yoga is designed to take the stress out of yoga by laying the foundation for a strong and confident yoga practice. Welcome to yoga! Beginners yoga is rich with instruction and demonstration, is deliberately paced and will help you learn the basics. This class welcomes all students who are relatively new to yoga practice or simply wish to focus on the basics.

This moderate level class welcomes all students who enjoy a little challenge and are looking for something a bit deeper than a Beginners class, but not as athletic as a Vigorous class.
This meditation gathering welcomes all practices and experience levels of sitting with internal awareness and sharing space in silent reverence for life. We will start with a few minutes of breath work to center ourselves and then sit in meditation for 20 to 25 minutes and close with a few minutes of quiet transition to external awareness. There will be no formal instruction, only group practice. Chairs, cushions, blankets and blocks will all be available to support your posture for meditation.
Prenatal yoga will help you ease through pregnancy by helping strengthen pelvic abdominal tone, teaching you vital relaxation skills and providing a quiet opportunity for each mother to connect with her changing body and growing baby. Yoga can help ease back ache, improve sleep and digestion and simply help you experience overall wellbeing.  Prenatal yoga provides a special opportunity for community among students as sharing stories of progressing pregnancies and helpful hints will be encouraged!  If you are pregnant we recommend that you take Prenatal yoga classes only! Other classes may not include safety precautions and certainly won't target your needs at this special time.

Restorative yoga is a delicious way to relax and soothe frayed nerves. Restorative classes use bolsters, blankets, and blocks to prop students in passive poses so that the body can experience the benefits of a pose without having to exert any effort. A good restorative class is more rejuvenating than a nap.

Gentle classes are designed to reduce stress utilizing a range of yogic techniques, such as movement, meditation and breath control, to quiet the mind, induce calm, and nourish the spirit.
Taught by Student Teachers in training at Breathing Time Yoga. Help aspiring teachers to gain experience and hone their skills. By donation.
Taste the spiritual nectar of yoga with this class taught from the depths of authentic yoga philosophy.

Class will incorporate the full range of yoga practices: postures, breath work, meditation, self-inquiry including the use of sound and gesture to strengthen our connection to deeply transformational experiences.
The Viniyoga method of yoga is based on the deep relationship between breath and movement, experiencing yoga from the inside out and providing a sound approach to practicing yoga postures (asana). The deep slow rhythmic breath that you will master naturally creates a calm and focused mind and reduces stress on a physiologic level. The Viniyoga teacher incorporates safe and effective sequencing, and adaptation of poses to suit individual needs. Viniyoga classes may at times include seated breath awareness (pranayama), meditation and other yogic techniques.

Vinyasa yoga, in which movement is synchronized to the breath, is a term that covers a broad range of yoga classes. This style is sometimes also called flow yoga, because of the smooth way that the poses run together and become like a dance. The breath acts as an anchor to the movement as you to flow from one pose to the next in time with an inhale or an exhale.

Advanced yoga offers disciplined and challenging practices that help you to build endurance, strength, flexibility and fortitude. Our advanced classes welcome all who are seeking physical and emotional fitness.

Vinyasa: Advanced Warm will get you moving and sweating while you flow from one pose to the next with the rhythm of your breath. Taught under our infrared radiant heater that will warm you to the bone, like sun at the beach, only here, no sand!

Yin
Yin helps you reduce stress, and to feel calm and centered. In this quiet Yin class, we will explore the profound energetic, emotional, and physical aspects of yoga through stillness and surrender. We will marry meditation and asana by holding postures for two to ten minutes each while cultivating mindfulness.

Yoga with Weights will help you build strength and bone density utilizing small hand held weights, as well as yoga poses designed to strengthen your body and bones. The class will include balance poses to help increase stability, helping you to stay strong and fit as you age.
